Job summary

Coeur Mining is seeking an Underground Heavy Duty Mechanic (Beat Mechanic) to inspect, diagnose and repair underground mining equipment at the Rainy River operation in northwestern Ontario, Canada. The role reports to the Underground Maintenance Supervisor and requires a Journeyperson Red Seal Mechanic with underground experience as an asset.

The position features a 14x14 schedule with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficient maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Red Seal Mechanic required.
• Underground mining experience is an asset.
• SAP or CMMS experience is an asset.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Caterpillar, Maclean and Sandvik drill experience are assets.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of underground heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostics tools to minimize downtime.
• Conduct repairs and component overhauls per manufacturer specs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair and inspection records and reports.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize production disruption.
• Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment for repair and maintenance.
