Job summary

Thyssen Mining Construction Of Canada Ltd. seeks safety-minded General Construction Labourers to support underground mining and construction in Rainy River, ON. Responsibilities include material handling, installation, housekeeping, and general labour within a crew.

Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding work underground, follow safety procedures, and work as part of a team. Camp accommodations and travel assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, mining, industrial, or general labour preferred.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, bending, climbing).
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Willingness to work in underground mining environments.
• Underground certifications or Common Core training are assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist underground construction and mining crews with general labour activities.
• Move, load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with installation and assembly of construction materials and components.
• Support concrete work including site prep and cleanup.
• Assist with carpentry, piping, ventilation, and other underground tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and report hazards.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
