Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. invites applications for a Development Miner at Musselwhite Mine in Northwestern Ontario. The role oversees underground development and supports jumbo operations to meet production targets on a 14/14, 12-hour day schedule.

Candidates should have an underground background, UG Common Core Certification, Jumbo drill certification, and at least 5 years of experience. The position offers a defined contribution pension with employer contributions and potential matching.

Qualifications

• Grade 11 education or higher with excellent communication skills.
• UG Common Core Certification.
• Certification to operate Jumbo drill and mechanized development equipment.
• Minimum 5 years underground experience.
• Ability to work safely with good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Underground Development team.
• Assist/relieve Jumbo Operators in mechanized scaling and face drilling.
• Drill, load and blast explosives rounds with Jumbo.
• Read and interpret GSE and development plans.
• Muck cycles with Scooptrams and maintain safety standards.
• Demonstrate safe and efficient work and maintain housekeeping.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
