Equinox Gold's Musselwhite Mine in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Project Geologist to join the Exploration team onsite. You will support surface exploration programs, generate targets, log cores, sample, manage data, and provide technical interpretation while mentoring less-experienced geologists.

The role requires a BSc in Geosciences, 6–8 years in exploration, and PGO accreditation or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of exploration-related industry experience.
• Registered with the Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO), or working towards accreditation.
• Strong track record in exploration program management and discoveries (asset).

Responsabilités

• Design and implement surface exploration programs with minimum supervision.
• Surface outcrop mapping and sampling.
• Data compilation and management from surface exploration programs.
• Interpretation of geological information from surface exploration programs.
• Develop optimal exploration approaches to grow resources and make discoveries.
• QA/QC evaluation on data types.
• Drill management and liaison with contractors.
• Log core and aid in geological modeling.
• Provide coaching to less experienced geoscientists.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
