Job summary

Dumas Contracting Inc. is seeking a Development Miner to perform underground development activities such as drilling, blasting, scaling and ground support installations.

You will operate and maintain jumbos, bolters and scoops while following safety and environmental guidelines. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in underground mining, Ontario Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification, and a strong understanding of drilling and blasting techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of underground mining experience, preferably in development.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground development activities including drilling, blasting, scaling, and installing ground support.
• Operate and maintain mining equipment such as jumbos, bolters, and scoops.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
