Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Construction Miner for the Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON. Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will perform underground construction and mining tasks, including operating equipment, installing services, and executing ground support to maintain safety and efficiency.

You must be physically capable, able to work in a team or independently, and willing to adhere to safety and environmental standards while following procedures and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to operate LHDs, Scissor Lifts, Forklifts, Zoom Booms & PC’s.
• Ability to operate both Shotcrete Pot and Nozzle.
• Experience with pressure grouting.
• Operate hand-held drills such as jacklegs and stoppers.
• Comprehension reading work instructions with good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proficient in Oxy/Ace welding is an asset.
• Possession of a valid CWB ticket is an asset.
• Strong safety ethic and ability to work with others or independently.
• Underground Basic Common Core is an asset.
• Longhole Loading and Blasting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Mine Supervisor and be part of the Mine Operations Department, promoting Agnico Eagle values and safety.
• Adhere to mining regulations and uphold Health & Safety as a priority.
• Follow mine procedures, policies and underground worksite processes.
• Scale loose rocks and assess ground conditions for safety.
• Install or repair mine services and installations underground.
• Operate underground mining equipment (LHDs, scissor decks, telehandlers, etc.).
• Read blueprints and rebar schematics to determine specs and materials.
• Install compressed air lines, ventilation, pumps, and related work with steel/concrete.
• Perform concrete work and specialized ground support.
• Carry out other mining/construction tasks as required.
