Job summary

Redpath Canada Limited is hiring a Construction Miner (Development) for a remote northern Quebec site, 14 days on/14 days off. The role involves shotcreting, building refuge stations, and various underground construction tasks in a challenging mining environment.

You will inspect headings, install ground support, operate drills and heavy equipment, and comply with safety standards. A high school diploma and 2 years in related construction work are required; a valid license and explosive permits

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a related construction role.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and general explosives permit (if required by site)??

Responsibilities

• Inspect existing underground headings
• Knowledge of construction methods in the mining environment
• Scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety
• Operate pneumatic hand-held drills and various construction tools
• Operate hand-held drills such as jacklegs and stoppers
• Use rubber-tired underground mobile equipment (LHD, scissor trucks, Boom trucks, shotcrete sprayers)
• Follow established regulatory, company, and client rules and regulations
