Job summary

Redpath Mining in Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake) is seeking a Construction Miner (Development) to perform shotcreting, grout work, ground support, and related underground construction tasks. The role involves 12-hour shifts with a 14 days on/off rotation, and camp accommodations.

You will inspect headings, install ground support, operate pneumatic drills and underground equipment, and follow safety rules including WHMIS and Cardinal Rules.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a related construction role.
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core – Full Basic (or other provincial equivalent).
  • Required Specialty Modules: U0024, U0028, U0081, U0082, U0085a, U0085b, U0085c & U0086 (or other provincial equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect existing underground headings.
  • Scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety in mine construction.
  • Operate pneumatic hand-held drills and various other construction tools.
  • Operate hand-held drills such as jacklegs and stoppers.
  • Use underground equipment like LHD units, scissor trucks, Boom trucks, shotcrete sprayers and other support vehicles.
  • Follow established regulatory, company, and client rules and regulations.
