Job summary

Redpath Mining Contractors and Engineers in Canada seeks a Construction Miner (Development) to perform shotcreting, building refuge and crusher stations, muck bins, conveyor installation, timber and concrete work, and related maintenance at underground sites. Rotation is 14 days on, 14 days off with 12-hour shifts.

Travel by air to various northern Quebec locations; remote site camp accommodation is provided. Requires a high school diploma and 2 years of related construction experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2 years of related construction experience in mining or underground work.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of safety programs and mine regulations.

Responsibilities

• Scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety.
• Operate pneumatic hand-held drills and other construction tools.
• Use jacklegs, stopers, and underground equipment for support work.
• Follow regulatory, company, and client rules and regulations.
