Nutrien’s Vanscoy Potash Operations seeks a Mine Construction Captain to lead underground construction activities, coordinating supervisors, employees, and contractors to deliver safe, high-quality work with minimal disruption to mine operations.

The role requires a Grade 12 diploma and Saskatchewan underground supervisor certification, plus at least five years of supervisory experience including three years underground mining. Proficiency with Office 365 and SAP is an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have safety-focused leadership experience in a heavy industry setting.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required; Saskatchewan underground supervisor cert preferred.
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience with at least three years underground mining experience.
• Experience with underground development, rehabilitation and infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and apply construction drawings, layouts, schedules and procedures.
• Strong planning, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide field-based safety leadership and ensure compliance with site standards and regulations.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee underground construction work and projects.
• Lead Construction Supervisors and crews; set priorities and address performance gaps.
• Coordinate with Mine Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Planning teams.
• Review work packages and plans; identify constraints and communicate changes.
• Monitor schedule, productivity, cost, quality and completion status.
