Job summary

THOAR Mining Management Ltd. is seeking highly motivated Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project in Saskatchewan. The role requires availability for 12-hour rotating day and night shifts and a strong commitment to safety.

Key duties include leading underground rehab operations, supervising crews, ensuring safe practices, and coordinating with maintenance and client representatives to maximize productivity and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid WHMIS and SCOT certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of mining operations experience, preferably in potash.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.
• Experience using maintenance or work-scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day underground rehab operations and supervision.
• Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training.
• Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within design parameters.
• Provide clear work direction, coaching, and feedback to staff.
• Address performance concerns and support employee development as required.
• Mentor and develop team members for long-term success.
• Facilitate communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.
• Coordinate manpower, resources, and activities to ensure safe contract operations.
• Act as liaison between management, shift operations and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Review and authorize work permits per site requirements.

THOAR Mining provides comprehensive mining support and operational services, including project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and equipment operation. We are currently seeking highly motivated, safety-focused Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project with one of our clients in Saskatchewan.

This role requires availability for 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project activities supporting continuous underground rehabilitation operations.
• Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.
• Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
• Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand expectations.
• Address performance concerns and support employee development as required.
• Mentor and develop team members to support long-term organizational success.
• Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.
• Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.
• Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.
