Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven administrative experience advising students within an academic environment.
• Thorough understanding of University policies and procedures related to undergraduates.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and high attention to detail.
• Experience engaging students through thoughtful questioning and sound judgement in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Advising undergraduate students on academic matters including course selection and degree requirements.
• Assist students with pre-registration, program transfers, academic standing, petitions and university regulations.
• Support co-op pathways, exchange opportunities, and progression planning.
• Maintain knowledge of curriculum changes and university policies.
• Monitor academic progress and provide outreach and counseling as needed.
• Coordinate student progression including communicating with Associate Directors and Office of the Registrar.
• Support course planning, enrollment, scheduling, and maintenance of student records.
• Collaborate with academic units to implement curriculum and policy changes.
• Prepare reports and summaries for committees and supervisors.
