Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced operator for the tube departments at our East Angus plant to run and monitor tube production lines. You will load and adjust equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure outputs meet specifications.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical and analytical skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset to support continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (DES) or vocational diploma (DEP).
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, adjust, and operate a machine used to manufacture tubes per customer specs and quality standards.
• Load the machine, monitor production, perform quality checks and complete required reports.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain and document production and quality records as required.

POSITION

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced operator for the tube departments at our East Angus plant.

SCOPE OF POSITION

The operator assembles, adjusts, and operates a machine used to manufacture tubes for the production of various types of paper bags, in accordance with customer specifications and the company’s quality standards. The operator loads the machine, monitors production, performs quality checks, resolves technical issues, and completes the required reports.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma (DES) or vocational diploma (DEP);


• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;


• Mechanical skills;
