Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our Montreal Plant to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations on assigned shifts. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time execution of the production plan while maximizing efficiency and resources.

As the main point of contact for the production team, you will coach staff, resolve issues, and uphold SQF compliance and company policies in a unionized, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a factory environment while moving safely.
• Must be able to work in a unionized environment.
• Must be able to maintain quotas and production standards.
• Must provide supervision and coaching.
• May be confronted with conflictual situations.
• Must be able to detect color and color variations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations for shifts A–D.
• Ensure the daily production plan is executed safely and on time.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the production team on daily activities.
• Uphold quality and safety policies to maintain SQF certification.

POSITION

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our Montreal Plant.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and controlling all of Hood Packaging's day-to-day production operations for the shift (A, B, C, or D). The incumbent of this position must ensure the execution of the daily production plan sent to him or her in the safest manner, on time and using all the resources required. He or she will be the main point of contact for his or her team for any issues related to the day-to-day activities on the production floor.

Given the food clientele served by Hood Packaging and the risks associated with our manufacturing activities, the incumbent of this position must commit to respecting all policies associated with quality and safety in order to ensure the continuity of SQF certification.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work in a factory environment while moving safely

• Regular use of factory computers, telephones.
• Must be able to detect color and color variations.
