Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation in Calgary is seeking a maintenance technician to keep our high-speed packaging lines running safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will troubleshoot machine breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement machinery modifications to improve reliability and throughput.

We value teamwork, clear communication, and a strong commitment to safety. A Journeyman Millwright certificate is preferred, with Red Seal considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and perform root cause repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and machinery modifications.

• Successful candidate will be responsible for trouble‑shooting machine breakdowns, implementing root cause repairs, preventative maintenance and machinery modifications, with the main focus being preventative maintenance
• Must be willing to cover for vacations and/or other leave(s)
• Be team oriented
• Have excellent communication skills and able to communicate with co‑workers, shift supervisor(s), technical specialist and management
• Demonstrate a commitment to Safety by following safety rules and guidelines
