Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation, established in 1978 and a leading North American packaging supplier, seeks a Press Operator in Calgary, Alberta. You will help run daily operations, set up machines, and perform quality checks in a team‑oriented environment.

We value safety, reliability and strong communication. Shifts are 12 hours long (7am–7pm days, 7pm–7am nights) with a rotating schedule across multiple weeks.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand work orders.
• Good attendance and reliable, with safety as a priority.
• Excellent communication with co-workers, shift supervisors, technical staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Perform machine set-ups and quality control tasks.

• Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, Machine set-ups, quality control
• Must have a strong sense of urgency
• Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude
• Be team oriented
• Have excellent communication skills and able to communicate with co-workers, shift supervisor(s), technical specialist and management
• Capable of lifting 10 to 50 lbs
• Able to read and understand work orders
• Demonstrate a commitment to Safety by following safety rules and guidelines
