Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Truck & Transport Technician at our Regina Peterbilt location to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop setting. You will work with a range of electrical and mechanical systems, document actions on work orders, and test repairs in the yard or shop.

We value certified journeyperson status, strong customer service, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and the service team.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required.
• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport Technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems.
• Proven computer/technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
• Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.
• Evaluate the working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble and repair equipment efficiently.
• Use related instruments, hand/power tools, and computer systems safely.
• Document on work orders all unit information, actions taken, and time spent.
• Road test equipment and verify repairs as required.
• Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements.
• Continue to assess service task hazards and ensure safe work.
• Other duties as required.
