Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Barrie Peterbilt location. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, using diagnostic equipment, documenting actions, and ensuring safety standards. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with customer-focused service, is required.

• Evaluate working condition, diagnose, disassemble/assemble, order parts, and repair in shop.
• Safely use related instruments, tools, and equipment.
• Document all actions, parts and time on work orders.
• Assess hazards and ensure work is performed to safety standards.
• Use computer systems to document maintenance, inspection and diagnosis.
• Work with engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements.
• Refer to parts catalogs and order parts as needed.
• Road test equipment and verify operation after service.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Brandt is currently seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Barrie Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
• Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
• Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressureStrong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• A commitment to high quality customer service
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required
• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck & Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
