Overview

The Emterra Maintenance/Repair team is growing, and we are seeking a committed, collaborative professional to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team. Work locations available: Woodstock, Ontario; Smith Falls, Ontario; Napanee, Ontario.

Responsibilities
  • As a floor Truck Mechanic, maintain maintenance reports, work orders, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and complete repairs safely and in accordance with company policy and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive and truck systems (fuel, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, chassis, frame, cab, body, air brakes, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, electrical and electronic systems) using hand tools and specialized repair equipment. (Aligned with duties per NOC#72410)
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Communicate regularly with managers regarding repair status and concerns.
  • Work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the operation.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and other junior team members.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubricants, and tune-ups.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and equipment work area.
  • Suggest positive changes to processes or procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Observe safe work practices.
Qualifications
  • 310T or Red Seal License; or equivalent to challenge provincial exam.
  • Must have over 4 years of experience in the trade.
  • Must have completed training courses in the trade.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic proficiency with computers.
  • Previous experience with online preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to stand, lift 60 lbs, carry, bend, twist for periods of time.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, team player.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Wage: Minimum $38.00/hour - $42.00/hour. Full-time, permanent in Woodstock, Smith Falls or Napanee, Ontario.
