Job summary

Sollio Agriculture is seeking a full-time truck driver for delivery of animal feed in New Minas, Nova Scotia. The role begins with an hourly rate of $27.13, with work Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00 am and 10-hour days.

You will operate specialty unloading equipment and adhere to strict safety and biosecurity protocols. You must be physically capable of lifting 80 lbs, have a clean driving record, and be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1FM driver's license.
• Good driving record.
• Able to lift 80 lbs and perform physical work.
• Able to drive in rural and urban areas.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver bulk or bagged animal feed to farms following delivery slips.
• Operate unloading equipment including boom and auger systems.
• Follow on-farm biosecurity, sanitation, and vehicle disinfection protocols.
• Verify load sheets against delivery slips for correct formulas, medications, and quantities.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on the truck and unloading equipment.
• Handle on-farm delivery paperwork, invoices, and basic customer inquiries.
• Report mechanical issues, delivery accidents, or customer concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the truck, equipment, and uniform.
• Follow transport safety and driving regulations on urban and rural routes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance or other duties as assigned.
