Job summary

ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to haul scrap metal to and from our Fort St John, BC location, with occasional trips to other ABC sites. A clean driving record and experience with roll-offs, Hiab, and body jobs are preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 license with air brakes and 3–4 years’ experience, with scrap metal recycling or demolition experience considered an asset. Competitive benefits and opportunities will be offered.

• End dump knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with roll-offs, body jobs and dump trucks preferred.
• Experience with self-loading cranes or Hiab is a definite asset.
• Prior scrap metal recycling or demolition experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-trip inspections of the vehicle assigned to drive.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Carry out general safety practices of a commercial driver.
• Follow Dispatch instructions in a timely and professional manner.

Position Overview

ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to operate our trucks hauling scrap metal to and from different locations to our Fort St John, B.C. location. Occasionally, you may need to haul material to and from other ABC locations and partner companies.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record along with experience operating roll-off trucks, self-loading cranes such as hi-abs, and body jobs. The ability to complete daily logs and reports and carry out the instructions is also essential.
