Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Ottawa Peterbilt location. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop setting.

The ideal candidate has prior mechanical experience in truck/coach environments, strong electrical diagnosis skills, and a commitment to customer service. The position offers a supportive team, ongoing learning, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required.
• Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is a plus.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with engineers, service team, and branch personnel.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems.
• Proven diagnostic skills for mechanical/technical repairs.
• Strong time-management under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.
• Inspect and document work orders with actions taken and time spent.
• Use instruments, hand/power tools, and computer systems safely.
• Road-test equipment and verify repairs as required.
• Assist with warranty diagnosis and fulfill requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and service team to ensure quality service.
