Job summary

Joe Johnson Equipment (JJE) in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking a Truck & Coach / Heavy Equipment Technician for a full-time, day-shift role. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy municipal equipment, including vac trucks and street sweepers, collaborating with service and parts teams to keep operations efficient.

The position requires 310T/421A credentials or active apprenticeship, strong hydraulic/electrical knowledge, and a safety-first, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid 310T Truck & Coach or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician, or registered apprentice through Skilled Trades Ontario.
• Related work experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Valid Driver's License with clean abstract.
• Positive attitude, safety-first mindset, and a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and niche municipal equipment.
• Work on vac trucks, hydro vacs, street sweepers, refuse/recycling trucks, and more.
• Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 42.5 hrs./week

Compensation & Rewards

• Hourly Pay: $42.00-$50.00/hr. for licensed technicians
• Up to $2,500 Signing Bonus for Licensed or Apprentice 310T/421A Technicians
• Quarterly Profit-Sharing Bonuses - up to $1,500
• Training Bonuses - up to $3,000 for Manufacturer & Technician Training

What You'll Do
