Qualifications

• Registered or pursuing 310T Truck & Coach Technician apprenticeship.
• Experience in a mechanical or automotive environment is an asset but not required.
• Strong interest in heavy-duty trucks, equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed technicians with the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing under supervision.
• Assist with repairs to engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, steering, and other vehicle systems.
• Learn to diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing equipment safely and properly.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues.
• Replace and repair defective parts and components as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Continue developing technical skills through on-the-job training and apprenticeship schooling.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
