Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is hiring Home Support Workers to travel throughout Essex County, including Leamington, Kingsville, Ruthven, Cottam and surrounding towns. This part-time role involves daily home visits, meal preparation, basic housekeeping, and assisting with personal care in clients’ homes.

The position offers in-class training, potential for part-time hours with benefits, and a union environment. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates compassion and listening skills to support clients at home.
• Experience helping seniors or children is an asset.
• Must be able to travel to client homes within the designated area.
• Criminal background screening must be passed on hire.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients to perform home visits.
• Prepare meals and assist with meals.
• Perform basic housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and support wellbeing of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including bathing.
