Job summary

ParaMed is seeking Home Support Workers to travel across Essex County, visiting patients in Leamington, Kingsville, Ruthven, Cottam, Wheatley and surrounding towns. You’ll assist with daily tasks, meals, hygiene, companionship, and mobility in patients’ homes, with in-class training provided.

This is a part-time role offering benefits after graduation and a path to further education. Eligibility includes a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle, and a willingness

• Compassion and listening skills required to support clients.
• Willingness to travel between home visits across designated area.
• Ability to obtain criminal background clearance on hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
• Weekend availability is expected on a rotating schedule.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Experience with personal hygiene care is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support patient well-being.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.

Job Description

We are currently looking for Home Support Workers to join our team travelling throughout Essex County.

Must be willing to travel home to home throughout Leamington, Kingsville, Ruthven, Cottam, Wheatly and surrounding towns.

As a Home Support Worker, you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities.

You will receive free and paid training in a full time 3 week in-class program designed to teach you the skills needed to work as a Home Support Worker. Upon graduation you will be eligible for part-time hours and benefits.

What you’ll do:

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day

• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time

• Basic housekeepingduties

• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients
