Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group in Toronto is seeking a Travel Consultant to join our retail team. You will convert enquiries into bookings, achieve sales targets, and earn commissions in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, delivering memorable experiences across travel products.

You will own the customer journey from initial enquiry to booking, selling flights, accommodation, tours, and travel insurance, while building lasting client relationships and providing exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in travel sales preferred.
• Experience using Sabre GDS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing, target-driven sales role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and upselling products or services.
• Strong communication skills and confidence selling in person and over the phone.
• High attention to detail and strong computer skills, with confidence using multiple, complex systems.
• International travel experience.
• Availability to work full-time hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative sales conversations.
• Work toward individual KPIs and sales targets, earning commission on every sale.
• Sell end to end travel solutions including flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, car hire, transfers, and travel insurance.
• Build a loyal base of new and repeat customers - from simple domestic trips to complex international holidays.
• Manage multiple customers and communication channels at once (in-store, phone, email) in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Use booking systems and supplier tools to quote, upsell, book, and follow up accurately and efficiently.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
