Job summary

Springboard in Toronto, ON, is seeking a Youth Worker to provide trauma-informed engagement and supports for youth in a live-in program. You will work with Senior Counsellor and a multidisciplinary team to track needs, coordinate services, and support education and development goals.

The role requires flexibility for 24/7 coverage, weekend shifts, and travel to other locations. A Diploma in Social Sciences, CYC, or Social Work is required, with strong communication and crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, or Social Work is required or considered.
• Experience with youth who have experienced trauma in a trauma-informed framework is required.
• Demonstrated crisis prevention and intervention experience is necessary.
• Experience engaging with diverse populations with a culturally responsive lens.
• Valid G driver’s license is required.
• Understanding of systemic barriers affecting youth and their experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support youth with engagement, programming, and case management tasks.
• Assist with scheduling, planning, and co-facilitating case management meetings.
• Maintain youth records and ensure proper documentation and licensing compliance.
• Provide administration support, notes, and reporting to funders as needed.
• Participate in staff training, meetings, and organizational initiatives.
• Contribute to a safe, trauma-informed residence environment and crisis de-escalation as required.
• Support travel to other locations for programming when needed.
• Supports youth in life skills, Hygiene, and goal attainment.
