Job summary

Enviros is seeking a Youth and Community Support Worker to join a live-in group home serving youth aged 12–19. You will support residents through a trauma‑informed care approach, coordinate weekly appointments and outings, and assist with intake and case management.

The role emphasizes relationship‑based practice, teamwork with stakeholders, safety, and ongoing youth development within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Criminal Justice or Human Services related field.
• 1-2 years of youth justice, child and youth care, social work or human services experience is considered an asset.
• New graduates will be considered.
• Knowledge of experiential learning, strength-based practice and trauma informed care.
• Wilderness Training is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed care support to youth in a live-in group setting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support youth needs.
• Ensure all government, justice and daily paperwork is completed and submitted timely.
• Plan and participate in Life Skills and recreational activities.
• Respond to crises and maintain safety for residents.
• Maintain house routines including meal prep, cleaning and sanitation.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to health and safety procedures.
