Job summary

The Family Centre of Northern Alberta is seeking a Child and Youth Connector to support youth under 18 in home and community settings. The role focuses on trauma-informed, culturally humble engagement and building networks to promote independence and community integration.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, coordinating services, and documenting case work. The role requires a diploma/degree in a relevant field and willingness to travel across Alberta.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel within Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Build respectful, trusting relationships with youth using trauma-informed care and counseling.
• Strengthen life skills, problem solving, safety planning and emotional regulation.
• Identify resources and coordinate services with families and community supports.
• Assess risk and safety in line with applicable acts and agency processes.
• Complete reports and documentation accurately within timelines.

Education

Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Ecology, or related field
