Closer to Home Community Services in Alberta seeks a Youth Care Specialist to support youth with complex mental health and behaviour needs in a community group home, using the Teaching Family Model.

The role involves day-to-day activities, crisis management, and collaboration with a transdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans. A diploma or degree in a related field is preferred, with willingness to work a 4-on, 4-off schedule in a 24/7 operation.

Qualificações

• Experience working with individuals with complex needs/behaviours and multiple diagnosis.
• Dedicated, dependable and a positive role model.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Support youth with daily routines such as school, appointments and family visits.
• Maintain a structured setting and foster skill development.
• Manage crises with high supervision and safety measures.
• Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans.
• Participate in supervision, meetings and ongoing training.
