Job summary

e4c is seeking a Youth Worker to support youth aged 13–17 facing trauma, homelessness, and barriers within a trauma-informed, supportive housing setting. You will conduct assessments, support goal-setting, and collaborate with care teams to promote safety, well-being, and independence.

You will assist with daily routines, meals, medications, and life skills while engaging families and the broader community.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC), Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience supporting marginalized youth and vulnerable populations is an asset.
  • Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individualized assessments and support youth goal-setting.
  • Build trusting relationships using active listening and strength-based approaches.
  • Assist with daily routines, meals, medication administration, and life skills.
  • Foster a home-like atmosphere with safety and health regulations adherence.
  • Document interactions and maintain progress notes and case files.
  • Collaborate with families, natural supports, and community partners.
