Job Responsibilities
  • Manages operational execution of Tier 2 distribution processes and customer order fulfillment with a focus on financial and non-financial results, performance KPIs, direct and indirect accountability for logistics operations in Ontario.
  • Develops and executes strategies to maximize the effectiveness and minimize the costs of operations within Tier 2. This includes special projects such as route optimization, dedicated fleet growth, award carrier compliance, etc.
  • Owner of Long-Term Labour Planning – Recruitment/ Hiring Execution/ Onboarding.
  • Manage drivers (union employees) daily, use coaching and progressive discipline as required to ensure behavioral, performance and safety expectations are met.
  • Support Brewery Operations. Ensure transport requirements are met. Ensure empty bottle requirements are met, and full goods shipments are picked up and delivered where required.
  • DPO Routine- Delivery Pillar Owner.
  • Tracks and reports out on KPIs daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure compliance with DPO, Environment & Safety, HACCP, Quality and transportation requirements for logistics operations in Tier 2.
  • Impact and influence external stakeholders through the development of effective relationships with industry partners and customers in Ontario.
  • Operates in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility to deal with multiple, and sometimes, diverging priorities simultaneously.
Job Qualifications
  • Education: University degree preferably in Business, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years Logistics experience in warehousing, transport and logistics support. Proven leadership skills, with good business sense. Proven ability to manage interpersonal relationships through the indirect reporting structure.
  • Proven ability to achieve superior results. Proven ability to lead and develop talent in a changing environment. Proven experience in warehouse and transportation management. Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent negotiation abilities, proven ability to work and influence Regulators.
  • Solid understanding of distribution and customer service, beer industry and all key cost drivers, Distribution Process Optimization and its application, proven ability to drive change, excellent problem-solving capabilities, proven strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Technical competencies: budget/financial management, analytical skills, business process design, change management, transportation, warehousing and proficient in computer office applications.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems preferred.
