Responsibilities

Tasks

• Evaluate daily operations
• Monitor department’s performance
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Plan for changes to schedules and policies
• Prepare reports for senior management
• Recruit, supervise and train staff
• Manage finances or budget
• Arrange shipping documentation and track goods in transit
• Ensure transport compliance with regulations
• Establish and implement policies for transportation and storage
• Negotiate services and rates
• Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and setting rates
• Develop and implement business plans and policies
• Conduct surveys, research, and analysis on market, social, and economic data
• Provide consulting and advice to government and organizations
• Develop marketing strategies and promotional materials
• Maintain databases and develop venture capital sources
• Perform administrative tasks and develop development projects
