Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Offshore Transportation Coordinator for our retail client’s Offshore Transportation team in Calgary, Alberta. This 1-year contract role focuses on data entry, container tracking, document organization, forecasting, and tendering to support daily planning and operations.

The ideal candidate has a transportation or supply chain background, strong Excel abilities, and proven multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with experience in data entry or analyst roles and MS

Qualifications

• Background in Transportation or Supply Chain
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP + basic functions)
• Experience in a Data Entry / Analyst role

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and data validation for shipments and orders.
• Track containers and monitor status updates.
• Organize shipment documents and maintain record filing.
• Assist forecasting and tendering activities.
• Book delivery appointments and verify shipment documentation.
• Manage a shared inbox: sort, file, and action messages for daily planning.

Insight Global is looking for a highly organized and tech-savvy Offshore Transportation Coordinator to join our retail client's Offshore (Ocean Freight) Transportation team in Calgary, Alberta, for a 1 year contract. This individual would be responsible for supporting key logistics functions including data entry, container tracking, document organization, forecasting, and tendering. This role involves booking delivery appointments, verifying shipment documentation, and maintaining a shared group email inbox—sorting, filing, and actioning messages to support daily planning. Success in this role requires strong multitasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment and comfort working with MS Suite programs (Outlook, Excel etc.,). Strong customer service skills are essential, as this individual will frequently interact with external clients and transportation partners to ensure seamless logistics operations. A background in Transportation or Supply Chain and/or knowledge of custom logistics programs, would be considered an asset!

Skills and Requirements

• A background in Transportation or Supply Chain and/or knowledge of custom logistics programs
