OPENLANE is seeking a Transport Clerk to join our logistics team in Canada. You will handle data entry for vehicle information and locations, dispatch drivers, and coordinate with sublet carriers while delivering excellent customer service.

You will support the Transport Supervisor/Manager, manage inquiries by phone, email, or walk-ins, and help ensure smooth transactions. Strong organizational skills are essential in this fast-paced role.

Responsabilidades

• Manually or electronically enter data, including vehicle information and locations, into transportation and inventory systems.
• Coordinate movement of vehicles to and from Vehicle Logistics Centers; dispatch loads and complete related paperwork.
• Respond to email, phone, and walk-in inquiries from internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Post transportation charges to customer accounts where applicable.
• Serve as a liaison for Lead Drivers when Dispatcher/Supervisor is unavailable.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating with clients and resolving issues promptly.
• Investigate discrepancies and inform appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for:

As a Transport Clerk, you will work as part of our logistics team, supporting the administrative tasks related to our logistics services. This includes data entry into company systems, dispatching drivers, arranging for sublet transportation carriers, and customer service.

You are:

Organized. You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and can stay organized when handling multiple tasks.

Detail-oriented. You will ensure a high degree of accuracy in your tasks, in accordance with our customer and company requirements.

Team-oriented. You will support the Transport Supervisor/Manager with the day to day, and willing to jump in where needed to assist.

You will:

Manually or electronically enter data in an accurate and timely manner, including vehicle information, locations, and other documents, into our transportation and inventory management systems.

Assist with coordinating the movement of vehicles to and from the Vehicle Logistics Centers (VLC), including dispatching loads for correct arrival designation, completing all related paperwork to ensure a smooth transaction.

Respond to email, phone, and walk-in inquiries, including internal, customer, and subcontractors as required.

May assist with posting transportation and related charges to customer accounts.

Serve as a liaison for Lead Drivers when Dispatcher/Supervisor is not available.

Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating with clients; identifying & resolving issues in a timely manner.

Investigate any discrepancies and communicate same to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 Years’ of related experience or education in office administration / accounting
• Tech-savvy, and comfortable using Google Suite
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Nice to Haves:

• 1-3 years’ experience in logistics or general administration
• Experience with AMS, VTrace, and other OPENLANE systems
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Compensation Range of Hourly: $19.00 - $22.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
