Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Casual Driver in its transportation team in Canada. This part-time position typically offers 2–4 shifts per week with hours from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and occasional overtime.

If you enjoy driving and working in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you. You will safely deliver and pick up vehicles, input data via the Driver app pre/post delivery (including ride-share integration), and assist with vehicle readiness and inventory moves around

Qualifications

• Valid G driver's license (manual capable) with a clean record.
• Ability to work in different weather conditions.
• Proficiency driving a wide range of vehicle brands/models.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and pick up vehicles.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and effective communication.
• Input data pre/post delivery using Driver app, including ride-share integrations.
• Ensure vehicles are road-worthy by pre-trip checks.
• Assist with boosting vehicles, fluids, tire inflation and fueling as needed.
• Support inventory moves within the ADESA lot.

Who we’re looking for:

Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in the automotive industry? Do you love cars and want the opportunity to drive various makes and models? We seek individuals to fill the role of Casual Driver in our transportation department. This is a Casual Part-time position, typically scheduled for 2 - 4 shifts per week depending on business volume. Hours may range from 9 am - 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, with occasional overtime. If you have a passion for driving, a strong sense of responsibility, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you.

What you’ll do:

• Safely deliver and pick up vehicles, ensuring secure and timely transportation.
• Contribute to a positive team environment, utilizing effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Use and Navigate through and accurately input data using Driver app pre/post delivery including utilizing Uber or other Ride Share.
• Ensure that the vehicle is road-worthy by checking tires, fuel, lights, signals & brakes using our pre-trip safety process.
• Assist with boosting vehicles, checking fluids, airing up tires, and fueling vehicles as needed for transportation.
• Provide assistance with inventory moves within the ADESA lot.

What we require:

• Possession of a valid G driver's license (manual driving capability) with a clean record.
• Adaptability to work in different weather; occasional need to remove snow from vehicles for inclement weather, operate in the rain, and other weather conditions.
• Proficiency in driving a wide range of vehicle brands and models.
• Occasionally available to work Saturdays depending on business needs.

Compensation Range of Hourly: $19.00 - $19.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
