The City of Brandon is seeking a Utility Worker to provide routine maintenance for the interior and exterior of all Brandon Transit shelters. You will perform grass cutting, snow removal, cleaning, waste management and maintenance of tools at bus stop locations with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.
This full-time, indefinite term position requires a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence and the ability to work varying shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

Position Conditions: This full-time, indefinite term position will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69. Should the incumbent not return to this position, this term may become permanent. This opportunity is open to all applicants; however, first consideration will be given to current City of Brandon CUPE employees. The City of Brandon reserves the right to underfill this position.
The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid.

Rate of Pay: $23.47 - $25.25 per hour (2026 Rates)

This competition will include testing and an interview.

To provide routine maintenance for the interior and exterior of all Brandon Transit shelters. Grass cutting, snow removal, cleaning, emptying of garbage bins, etc. at all bus stop locations, and the care and maintenance of tools and equipment necessary to perform the assigned duties.
