Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer to manage the administrative and technical aspects of a Toronto project, coordinating between the construction manager and field team for cost and cash flow information.

The role develops people, oversees safety and quality, and leads the project master schedule while supervising lower level engineers. Based in Downtown Toronto on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Licensed P.Eng. or eligible for registration.
• Minimum of five years' experience in construction with an emphasis on safety.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and mentoring abilities.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract plans and specs.
• Inspect field conditions and identify cost-saving measures.
• Review drawings for changes and quantify impact.
• Develop and maintain the project master schedule.
• Manage document control and log issues.
• Prepare monthly cost projections and cash flow projections.
• Ensure safety and quality across the project.
