Job summary

Transdev Canada is hiring a Transit Supervisor for our Victoria location to supervise and coordinate daily transit operations, supporting operators and ensuring safe, reliable service.

The role includes on-road and in-office leadership, incident response, and collaboration with dispatch, maintenance, and management to keep service running smoothly. A strong background in transit operations and supervision is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of public transit operations experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role in transit.
• Strong knowledge of transit operations and safety regulations.
• Experience in customer service and employee supervision.
• Ability to respond to incidents and operational challenges.
• Capable of collaborating with dispatch, maintenance and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-road and in-office supervision of daily transit operations.
• Support operators with service issues and customer interactions.
• Monitor service delivery, schedule adherence and route performance.
• Respond to disruptions, incidents and customer concerns.
• Conduct investigations, ride-alongs, safety inspections and documentation.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure policy compliance.
• Coach and mentor operators to improve performance and service quality.
• Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance and leadership to maintain reliable service.
• Monitor staffing levels and assist with shift coverage and communication.
• Prepare reports on incidents, investigations and operational activities.
