Job summary

The Town of Oakville is seeking a Transit Supervisor in On Demand Services. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, ensure safety, and maintain service levels across demand-response and related transit activities.

Reporting to the Manager, On Demand Services, you will monitor customer bookings, analyze demand, train staff, and participate in developing new services while ensuring compliance with policies, health and safety, and collective agreements.

Qualifications

• Completion of a three-year college diploma or university degree in business administration or related field with ≥3 years transit operations supervisory experience.
• Valid CZ or BZ license or ability to obtain one, and a safe driving record.
• Criminal record and vulnerable sector screening in last 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day performance of staff delivering on-demand services to meet standards and policies.
• Schedule work, motivate and evaluate staff, and take disciplinary action as needed per agreements.
• Monitor customer bookings, dispatching and service delivery; analyze demand and allocate resources.
