Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. in Toronto, ON is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to support environmental compliance across the project lifecycle. You will work with the Project Quality & Environmental Function, coordinating with Technical Services, construction crews, sub-contractors, and Environmental Authorities to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

The role requires a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and 3-5 years of construction experience, with transit project experience

Qualifications

• B.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of Construction industry experience required.
• Transit project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and laws.
• Results-driven with ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day implementation of the Environmental Management System and report performance.
• Coordinate environmental issues across the Project and oversee monitoring program.
• Maintain relationships with Environmental Authorities and Interested Parties.
• Ensure compliance with Project Agreement environmental requirements.
• Provide direction on environmental regulations, permits, and requirements.
• Develop and maintain ISO 14001-compliant health and environmental management system.
• Assist with applications for environmental permits and their management.
• Oversee environmental aspects of project design and schedules.
• Coordinate with Technical Services to address environmental aspects and timelines.
• Collaborate with environmental sub-contractors for input and direction.
• Analyze trends to support protection and compliance.
• Compile quarterly and annual environmental reports.
