Job summary

Trillium Guideway Partners is seeking an Environmental PLAA Coordinator to support the EGS contract of the Ontario Line. You will lead the management and submission of environmental permits, approvals and agreements with government authorities, under the direction of the Environmental Manager and PLAA Manager.

You will coordinate with the PLAA team, construction managers and Metrolinx, ensuring timely permit decisions and accurate documentation for a major transit program in Ontario.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience.
• Experience procuring all environmental permits and approvals on transit projects in Ontario.
• Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
• Ability to liaise with consultants, contractors and Government Authorities.
• Experience in design/construction industry or major infrastructure project.
• Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with governmental authorities and stakeholders.
• Review project documents to identify permit and approval requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with city and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with PLAA Manager to ensure permits are supported with environmental input.
• Prepare, submit and track PLAA applications (e.g., TRCA VPR, DFO under Fisheries Act, MECP Species at Risk).
• Develop and apply EASRs, PTTW and CoT tree permits as needed.
• Track permit requirements and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure PLAA records are uploaded into registries as required.
