Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging in Alberta seeks a dedicated Transcriptionist to join our remote team. You will transcribe medical dictations from radiology and related imaging reports with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities include organizing workload, communicating with radiologists, and maintaining strict patient data confidentiality while meeting deadlines. Must reside in Alberta and complete a recognized medical transcription program with 1–2 years of experience; strong grammar, anatomy

Qualifications

• Must reside in Alberta and have completed a recognized Medical Transcription program.
• 1–2 years of recent transcription experience required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations.
• Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to meet demands.

A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees. With over 650 employees and 20 locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.

Insight is currently seeking a Transcriptionist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, remote position, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. Applicants must live in Alberta to be considered for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide overall medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations.
• Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.
• Communicate with radiologists and departments.
• Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.
• Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.

• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.

• General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes, and desktop applications (e.g. Word, Windows).
• Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute.

• Commitment to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.

Qualifications:

• Must reside in Alberta.
• Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.
• 1 to 2 years' recent transcription experience required.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.
• Reliable, hard-wired at-home internet connection.
