Role Summary

This role supports the Transportation Group by creating and standardizing workflows, work instructions, processes, documentation, and templates to ensure compliance. You will collaborate with various Transportation operations teams to prioritize business processes for new account onboarding, service expansion, and maintaining existing standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation such as workflows, work instructions, bulletins, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Coordinate work priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure all documentation is reviewed and approved by relevant stakeholders.
  • Train operational teams using various methods, including video, online modules, and group sessions.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for transportation processes and best practices, advocating for compliance and applying lean principles.
  • Act as a liaison between departments, service providers, customers, warehouses, and drivers during rollouts and process changes.
  • Conduct assessments, update documentation, and manage a centralized repository for transportation documentation.
  • Support the implementation of programs and policies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
  • Prepare training plans and support operational teams, managers, and drivers to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Coordinate training programs for peak periods and new initiatives to maintain service quality and process compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Secondary school or college diploma; Supply Chain certification or degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in 3PL, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Experience in training and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of logistics systems such as TMS, WMS, and routing/planning software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Project coordination or management experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel between Metro locations as needed.
