Job summary

GardaWorld in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Training Centre Security Guard to support data centre operations with a strong focus on customer service, patrols, access control, and incident reporting.

You will inspect equipment, respond to incidents, write reports, and help maintain a safe environment. The role requires eligibility to work in Canada and a Manitoba security license; first aid is a plus, with uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in security is an asset.
• Able to work evenings and weekend days.
• Able to cover extra shifts during tax season.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• No parking facility at the site.

Responsibilities

• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Deter criminal activity and adhere to security procedures.
• Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
• Enforce property regulations and local by-laws on site.

As a Training Centre Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service, Scheduled patrol , Access card issuance and writing reports, since you will be working with people all shift in Data Centre environment

• Hourly wage of $ 18.13 + comprehensive benefits

• Shift Hours : Monday to Thursday (1600-2130), Saturday (0800-1500)

  Extra Shifts/hours are added during tax season they are: Friday evening 16:00 – 20:30 (additional 4.5 hours) and Saturday 1500 – 18:30 (additional 3.5 hours added to the end of the regular Saturday shift, 2.5 hours which are paid at the overtime rate)

Responsibilities for Training Centre Security Guard

• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
• Answer questions in person or by phone
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
• Maintain a safe and Secure environment
• Deter criminal activity. Guards may be expected to engage in visible deterrence through their presence and by adhering to security procedures. security presence. Security guard will assist site staff and visitors to ensure safe and secure environment.
• Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches
• Enforce Property regulations and city Bi- Laws on the client's site.

Qualifications for Training Centre Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification an asset
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
• Be able to work Evening shifts and Weekend day shifts
• Be able to cover extra shifts added during Tax season
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• No Parking facility at the site
