Job summary

GardaWorld in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a Health Centre Security Guard to monitor surveillance, control access, and report incidents to prevent escalation. You will be part of a dedicated team protecting a health facility and staff.

This permanent position offers a 1530–2330 Monday–Friday shift, uniform provided, paid parking, and access to GardaWorldAcademy training for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
• Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
• Ability to patrol, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Use of Force training is an asset
• First Aid Training is an asset

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Additional Site Information

• Paid parking available on-site
• Closest bus stop approximately a 15-minute walk
• Guards are eligible for Courtesy Ride Initiative
• Site Training includes 32 hours of training with cross-training across all shifts. Flexiable to train during the weekdays.
