RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre located in Montreal, Quebec. The Institute serves as the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. It is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

The Training and Learning Solutions Advisor will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs at RI-MUHC. The Advisor will act as a facilitator, leading a group of training champions within the Institute.

Key responsibilities include managing the Learning Management System (LMS), maintaining and updating training content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), developing onboarding programs, and contributing to new course development. The Advisor will also manage internal communications related to training, develop organizational strategies, and facilitate discussions on training and learning initiatives across the institution.

General Duties

1. Develop and publish high-quality e-learning content for diverse audiences.
2. Continuously improve existing training programs and materials.
3. Create interactive instructional materials, including courses, curricula, user guides, and training manuals.
4. Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.
5. Coordinate and deliver training programs on a daily basis.
6. Lead discussions on training, facilitate knowledge sharing, and design courses for trainers.
7. Produce reports for stakeholders and management, and oversee applications and admissions to training programs.
