The City of Brampton is hiring a Technologist II, Traffic Signal, to lead installation and maintenance of traffic signals at the Williams Pkwy Operations Centre. The role requires coordinating studies, updating signal timing, and guiding Technologist I staff and contractors.

Eligibility includes IMS Level I certification, a valid Ontario driver's license, and 1+ year of relevant experience. This is a union, full-time position with a 35-hour week and a 2-month vacancy.

Qualifikationen

• High School graduation plus a Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent program (2–3 years).
• 1+ year experience in traffic signal design and maintenance contracts.
• IMS Level I Traffic Signal Certification and a valid Ontario G driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Prepare designs and contracts for new traffic signal installations and modernizations.
• Coordinate traffic signal maintenance programs.
• Coordinate School Zone Flasher program and underground plant installation for new subdivisions.
• Review consultant traffic signal submissions for new developments.
• Maintain and modify standard drawings and signal timing data for optimization.
• Assist with Traffic Control Centre operations and data analysis for signal timing.
• Coordinate maintenance work, review invoices, and issue purchase orders.
• Manage city-wide traffic signal projects and inventory.
