Job summary

The City of Regina seeks an experienced professional engineer to support traffic and municipal transportation and communications infrastructure management. You will conduct research, engineering analyses, and project management to deliver solutions across planning, design, construction, and operations.

Reporting to a senior engineer, you will collaborate with staff, stakeholders and external partners while ensuring compliance with regulations and city bylaws.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Environmental Systems).
• Minimum of four years engineering experience in transportation field.
• Advanced knowledge of transportation engineering principles and standards.
• Proficient in MS Office and specialized engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Provide research, management and professional engineering advice for traffic and transportation infrastructure.
• Interpret data and develop options, solutions and recommendations.
• Review and approve proposals, plans and drawings.
• Develop corporate standards, programs, policies and management systems.
• Prepare technical and business reports and contract documents.
• Mentor staff and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure safety and compliance with city bylaws and OHSA requirements.
